“The regulatory situation for the protection and repair of concrete components has been in a state of upheaval in Germany for several years. More than ever, those involved in construction (clients, planners and contractors) are caught between the conflicting demands of building regulations on the one hand and product manufacturers on the other.
In the planning, tendering and execution of repair activities, it is often a problem to prove the usability of CE-marked building products in accordance with the regulations. The required information from the product manufacturers on this topic is perceived by those involved in the construction as varying, sometimes incomplete and sometimes even contradictory. This contributes to further uncertainty among those involved in construction.”
