In more than 400 laboratory tests \u2013 some on a scale of 1:1 \u2013 the GOLDBECK \u201cCarbon Concrete\u201d project team, led by Oliver Heppes, has investigated the new composite material. The carbon reinforcement is produced in a textile process and coated afterwards. Being corrosion-free, carbon is particularly suitable to be used as a durable material for exterior building components, especially in the case of possible chloride exposure. That\u2019s why the company has decided to focus initially on its use in car park ceiling panels.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
